Nof 7 Go to style view, click new style (1), select a style to base it on (2), type a name for the new style (3). This will protect the original style from being modified. I always name the new style the same as the site itself.
Nof 7.5 and 8 Go to style view, find a style that you like, right click and choose duplicate style, then rename the style to reflect the name of the nod.
