You've seen people get scolded in the Fusion newsgroups for cross posting. There are times where cross posting is appropriate, such as an announcement of importance to all users of the product. For normal support questions cross posting is not appropriate.
Cross posting is putting the same message in more than one newsgroup.
If you feel that you must cross post a topic here is the proper way to do this (OLex example)
This is the only accepted way to cross post in ANY pubic newsgroup. By creating your cross post in this manner once one of your posts is read, all other identical posts in the other groups get marked as read immediately. Any answers to your post in any of the groups will only be appended to the thread in the one group you selected as the followup-to group.
There is no reason to cross post general product support questions as all questions in all groups get answered. BUT if you feel the need to cross post, following the properly prescribed method will keep you out of hot water.
