All hosting accounts offered by gotHosting.biz have the ability to use our shared secure certificate (SSL) for encrypted data transfer of sensitive information such as credit card numbers and personal information.
To use this feature you need to link to your html form and processing page using this convention: https://www.gothosting.biz/your_domain.com/your_page.html (replace your_domain and your_page with the actual name of your domain and page). Notice the "S" in the link (https). This designates a secure page and is required in the URL in order to make sure that the page being used is a secure page.
You must enable the shared SSL feature in your gotHosting.biz control panel before you can use the shared SSL abilities. Please view the flash movie for how to enable SSL in your control panel
When testing your form and processing page make sure that you see the lock on the web browser which identifies that the page is a secure page.
If you need your own secure certificate so that your URL is formed like https://www.your_domain.com/your_page.html you will need to purchase a separate secure certificate and have us install it for you.
