In page view, click the text menu, edit text styles, then click New!
To apply the custom css to a whole paragraph:
Click to have a cursor at the beginning of the paragraph, select the custom style!
To apply the custom css to a word or single letter:
Drag the mouse over the word or letter, then click the span tool
