How to deter people from stealing your images.

This page is an example of one way to deter people from right-clicking an image on your site to save it to their local hard disk.
If you mouse-over one of the images below, a larger image will appear at right. If you move the mouse over the larger image, you will see the message: Please don’t steal my pictures!

It must be remembered that there is no easy way to protect your images from piracy - anyone who is determined to steal your copyright images will soon find a way to do so.

It is worth noting also that people will steal your bandwidth and images by linking directly to the images on your site. To do this, of course, they must know the file name of the image, and this is not immediately apparent from this web page.

I used Coolmaps’ excellent Rollover component to make the rollovers.The tempate for this site is available for download here, but remember that you must have the Rollover component for things to work.
