Sometimes you may want to put a Subject in a mailto link, or maybe even some content in the Body of the email - like these examples:

Mailto with Subject

Mailto with Subject and body content

Subject

To do this, make an external, "mailto" link. Then in the box to the right of "mailto", put something like this for a subject only:

Subject and Body

For content in the Body of the email, you just need to extend it:

Here's the full link I made:

someone@somewhere.com?Subject=Subscribe%20me&Body=%0d%0dYes%20please.%0a%0aSubscribe%20m e%20to%20the%20newsletter.

The codes

You can't have any blanks or control characters in the string, so...

    %20 encodes a space

    %0d is a line feed

    %0a is a carriage return

    %3a is a ":"

    %2f is a "/"
